We hope you have enjoyed your break over the Christmas and New Year period. Ours was spent with a group of friends who camp or roam as we do; there we all were in our vans or tents and sharing meals. Some people had the *cough* other, cheaper version of our beloved Shuttle Chef - were they envious when we casually browned meat in the inner pot! Our food stayed hotter for longer and honestly cooked better; suddenly they were not happy with their choice. I believe you will receive two orders shortly, unless they buy them at one of the camping shops which stock them now.

I hope you're well mate. The Shuttle Chef has been worth it's weight in gold this season! Saved us buckets of time feeding our big crew, not to mention halved the number of dishes in the evenings! And Duncan our five-star chef really whipped up some delicious dishes in there - you'll love his Sumac Dusted Lamb... We've just uploaded a recipes page onto the website, and I'd like to pop your logo on that page (as well as the other pages you're already on).

Hi- My husband has had a dream for a very long time of living on the high seas in a boat. I love to travel. We finally have united our dreams and in October 2008 we will picked up our 43foot catamaran. My love for the water has yet to be developed. On our Cat we will be masters of our life - sounds great but we have to make our own water and our own power via solar panels or making power with out generator. To be able to have a cooking outfit that cuts these utilities use of power is definitely much appreciated. To be able to serve a good meal in all kinds of weather instead of toasted sandwiches, I'm sure my husband loves me even more. When our children and grandchildren visit I need not stay in the galley to give them meals - I just love that.

I LOVE my Thermal Cookware and all the recipes you provide. The information is so helpful to provide hot nutritious meals for not just our family but also gatherings at Girl Scouts, soccer parties, Boy Scouts, camping, and many other community gatherings. Just last night, I started a chicken broth for this week's dinner and a chili for a community party. Thank you for your hard work and energy in making my life as a working mom so much easier!!!
We do not camp much but we do use Shuttle Chef as a regular part of our kitchen cooking routine. Our electricity and gas bills have dropped for cooking, especially when we have large crowds for parties. I don't have to worry about over cooking and burning things when I'm busy with my guests and the food is just perfectly hot at the right time!!

We usually start work at 7.30am and finish about 5.30pm so a hasty decision by my husband to go away for a break for the weekend was often not eagerly received. I was often anxious about knocking off work, getting the van ready for the road and having the energy to stop and cook a nutritious and healthy meal fairly late at night. Now we arrive home and whilst putting clothes, food and liquid refreshments in the van, the Shuttle Chef is simmering on the home stove. When we finish packing, the Chef goes into the van and we hit the road stopping 1-2hrs down the track and enjoy a warm and tasty evening meal."

Dear Allan & Lindi: We saw the Shuttle Chef demonstrated at a camping show two years ago and it seemed like a good idea at the time. We didn’t get to use it for six months but when we started using it at home and the first meal confirmed that it was not just a good idea but rather a great idea. The first meal was our own curried chicken and vegie casserole recipe – it was amazingly flavoursome and the chicken so tender we immediately made another dish and froze it for future use.
We now use the Shuttle Chef several times a week in our home with the benefits being no heat in the kitchen, reduced energy costs, almost impossible to overcook, and towards the end of cooking the main meal, the remaining hot water can be used to quickly cook rice or pasta. We are now working on building our bread making skills in the Shuttle Chef.
On the road, we have found the Shuttle Chef to be an effective, healthy and easy alternative to the so often relied upon BBQ meals, particularly for older folk who really want to eat in a healthy manner but not spend a lot of time cooking. The Shuttle Chef is now an essential part of our kitchen at home and when on the road.

Thanks so much for our wonderful new Shuttle Chef. We are enjoying it very much.
We are using it to take food when we go out, and to prepare dinner early so we can have a relaxed time with the kids before dinner. For BBQ's we pop the meat in when it's cooked so we don't have to coordinate having everything ready at the same time, and the meat is still hot when we eat. Today was a hot summer's day so I made a perfect rice and a stir fry without having the stove on much.
Although we already had a Dreampot, we had a few problems with it. The base of the inner pot was thin, and so food burned easily and we found the base warped a bit with heat, making it difficult to use on electric stoves.
We are very pleased with the Shuttle Chef. It's just so amazing that it stays so hot for so long! The Dreampot used to feel warm on the outside when we hadf something hot in it, but the Shuttle Chef seems to keep all the heat inside. We love the sturdy base on the Shuttle Chef inner pots, they are much better for cooking in, and the food doesn't stick or burn easily on the base,and they don't warp. The other thing that has really stood out is the level of finish. Thermos has done such a beautiful job that makes our old Dreampot look a bit cheap.
Thanks so much for our beautiful time and energy saver, and for the convenienbce...we look forward to doing a bit of experimenting with cakes and puddings...will let you know if we come up with anything particularly good!

I was first introduced to the Shuttle Chef by my mother who was worried that I was not eating enough and not consuming a nutritious diet while I was studying at University.
I am a single bloke with a big appetite for good food.
The Shuttle Chef meals that she prepared for me were always really welcome (and my room mates would decend vorociously) and I even learnt to cook these meals myself as it required such little effort it could even be done in my room with a little butane stove top.
Since graduating I have moved into my own place and the Shuttle Chef still plays a great part in the food I prepare and eat as it is so easy for me and even if I decide to eat out I can come home and store the food that I had already cooked for another day.

We are a young family and both work long hours with quite a bit of travelling between home and work.
We are both concerned with the quality of the food we eat and try to have home cooked meals whenever possible.
We are conscious of the nutritional advantages of Shuttle Chef slow cooking as all of the nutrients are kept within the saucepan and the meal cannot be overcooked, even the vegetables are cooked to perfection even 10 hours later.
The Shuttle Chef forms a big part of the meals we cook.
We are experimenting with lots of recipes now and it is so easy to adapt most recipes to this style of cooking.

We are a busy family with lots of commitments and not much time available for home cooked meals, however we find that the ease and convenience of using the Shuttle Chef is excellent.
Using the Shuttle Chef allows us to pop on a meal in the mornings as we are racing off to school's etc and when we return in the evening we have an excellent slow cooked, wholesome meal ready for us.
The energy saving alone is excellent however the ability to product delicious meals using the cheaper cuts of meat means that we have an even greater saving at the end of each month.

Introducing “new” ideas is always slow (at first) but it will work as you lean into it . . . consistently, in physics it’s the law of consistent leverage!
I’m a great enthusiast for the Thermal Method because:
• It provides great variety from less expensive ingredients
• After the bring to heat hands on cooking time . . . its absolutely free of attention and concern
• It is perfect for longer voyages/road trips when a real meal will be welcome at the destination
• It allows flavors to truly mingle . . . better than any other method of cooking I know
• Food retains its shape, it doesn’t disintegrate
• Thousands of ethnic dishes are able to be easily adapted to the method
• The double container unit is my preference, allowing for greater flexibility and heat retention for smaller quantities
• Oh yes . . . and no aroma as it “thermals” but mmm!! When it’s opened

I wanted to write to you to let you know how delighted we are with our Shuttle Chef.
My husband and I are 2 months into a year of camper trailing around Australia and let me testify that our Shuttle Chef has allowed us to dine in fine style. The casseroles have been flavoursome and the cheapest cuts of meat always tender. We have started experimenting with cake making and find the cakes have been moist, with no risk of overcooking.
It is very satisfying to be able to travel and enjoy a wide variety of delicious foods that have been cooked by a small amount of gas only. It not only appeals to our tastebuds but to our desire to reduce energy consumption. A bonus of the double pot system is that the hot water in the second pot can then be used to wash the dishes.
I would truly say that the most valuable item to come travelling with us has been the Shuttle Chef and other travellers certainly get to hear about it when ever the opportunity arises.

I have cooked in the shuttle chef and it was delicious!!!
I found having the two different pots was great with kids as I was able to make a more simple and bland meal for them, while creating more of a culinary delight for the adults.
I organised all the preparation in the morning (along with school lunches) as you suggested and WOW what an difference it made to our afternoon. No time was taking up with dinner which ment home work done, bedrooms clean and we even managed to fit in a game of snakes and ladders. Thanks again Allan and Lindy.

"We've had our shuttle chef for a short time now and it's been really convenient for us. The standout has been with cooking meals for extended family, one of whom is on a special diet and is not really able to prepare proper meals for himself. It's not just the fact that it cooks superbly, it works for the huge logistic operation in getting everyone fed properly.

Rather than carrying plates with foil over them in the car, trying to keep them hot and at a time which is never convenient, we're now able to drop meals off, several hours in advance. Time is no longer critical. Better still, our second shuttle chef has just arrived. That means only one shuttle chef exchange each day.
We've been working through the recipes and have found those containing fish to be particularly impressive. I have previously never really had that great a success in cooking fish. It never turns out like the photo in the recipe books. I'm just perfecting "smoked trout and rice" for the shuttle chef, which is showing great promise.
For both the results and the logistics of getting good food on the table on a daily basis, I couldn't recommend the shuttle chef more highly.

The immediate impression of the Shuttle Chef is that it is a high quality product that will last the years, constructed of quality stainless steel and long-lasting plastics. It is very well constructed and has clearly been through many years of design and improvements.
We have found the Shuttle Chef easy to use. Just ensure it is adequately filled, heat thoroughly and the chef then does the cooking for you. It is amazing that it seems to know just how we like our potatos and meat, almost better than we do, without any overcooking.
Our after-sales questions have been answered happily by Allan and Lindi from ThermalCookware, who we have found very helpful and approachable.
The Shuttle Chef helps save time, with minimal hands-on cooking time. We have also saved money on meat too, one of the most expensive grocery items, because we can use cheaper, but ironically tastier cuts of meat. So far we have tried lamb shanks, chicken curries, stews, soups, and even cakes, but there is plenty more for us to explore.
The money savings go further too, with much shorter cooking times on the stove than other techniques. The vacuum insulation used is quite impressive, keeping steaming hot temperatures through a whole day.
The Shuttle Chef is great for hot meals when out and about camping or travelling, saving you from cooking when weary at the end of a long day, but we have mainly used it to ensure a hot meal awaits us at the end of our busy workdays.
We can recommend this product to anyone that wants great flavour and to save time and money when cooking, but most of all, its fun!

....all I can say is "amazing"....
As I informed you my wife Kathy was preparing our first meal in the Thermal Cookware tonight.
Well I have just finished eating and all I can say is "amazing".
Kathy prepared a stew with Steak and vegetables. 10 mins work this morning, out watching our kids play sport all afternoon, return home, serve up and presto. One of the easiest, tastiest stews I've had. Not with good quality steak but basic old Blade Steak. Thank you, I did some research prior to buying and all I can say is its money well spent. I can see many more meals being prepared in the cookware both at home and whilst travelling aroud Australia in our van.

I found the joy of thermal cooking when I got my first Shuttle Chef from Hong Kong in 1997. This (home version/series model?) has given me years of dedicated service and is still in top condition. Since then, I had also bought the carry version which I found to be particularly useful for Asian pot-luck (this is when friends or relatives have a gathering that requires everyone to bring a dish. It eliminates the host from the stress of food preparation. Shuttle Chef is even more welcome by the host as there is no hassle to keep the food warm until they are ready to be served.). That is why Shuttle Chef can be found in many Asian homes.
I bought the carry version which I found to be particularly useful for Asian pot-luck: this is when friends or relatives have a gathering that requires everyone to bring a dish. That is why Shuttle Chef can be found in many Asian homes.
With the onset of age, the other benefit I found with Shuttle Chef is that once the food is cooked to the recommended stage, I will not have to worry about remembering to switch off the stove. Many of my favourite dishes require slow cooking over long period and Shuttle Chef gives me the assurance that I will not burn my house down from my cooking.
